What is Scouting?
Scouting offers challenge and adventure to 400,000 young people and 100,000 adults across the UK. We believe in helping our Members fulfil their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We give people of every background the chance to stretch themselves, learn new skills and make life-long friends.

Who can be a Scout?
Scouting is open to all young people of every faith and background. We also provide fulfilling volunteering opportunities for adults, as leaders, assistants or administrators.

Is it expensive to join the Scouts?
For our young people, we ask families to contribute a small amount for subscriptions each term (this pays for things like insurance and the rental on our hall), and to contribute to the cost of camps and activities. We are a registered charity, and all the subscriptions we receive go directly to activities - all our leaders are 100% unpaid volunteers. Bursaries are available - we believe that no young person should be prevented from joining because of cost.

Before I join, can I see what it's like?
Of course! Contact us and we can arrange for both parents and young people to come and visit, and see for yourselves what Scouting is like.

Are young people kept safe in Scouting?
Of course. We take safety and child protection very seriously (more info). All volunteers are CRB checked, and our adventurous activities must fulfill specific health and safety criteria.

Do you live in or near the Wimbledon area? Want to find out more? Contact us today! We'll be happy to have a chat about what Scouting can offer - why not visit us and see for yourself?

About waiting lists: The number of young members we can take is limited by the number of adult leaders we have. The more leaders we have, the more young members we can accomodate! If you or a friend are interested in becoming a leader, see the details below.

Just joined the group? See the Parents' Zone for our Welcome Pack.

Adult volunteers

We currently have opportunities for adults to join our team of leaders, in a variety of roles - see below for more info. If you're interested, contact one of the leaders listed above, for more info.
